Okay so you know that wonderful plan of getting rid of toll booths that was suppose to save everybody money? The plan where a whole bunch of people would lose their jobs and for some reason we could not change tokens to another material?

So old news. Homeland Security is building towers along the former toll lanes. IDK why? for some reason. They want/forcing the MTA to pay for those towers...

we ask ourselves why is nobody protesting the patriot act which helps the HLS exsist. IDK why?

Sooooo the MTA without using hurricane Katrina/sandy as an excuse for it's increase fare hikes is now forcing double fare hikes. I know this might sound stupid as we all can remember growing up with $1 fare. But this is insane to be honest.

...

I am just pointing out something that was suppose to be saving money is now costing everybody else money and nobody seems to care?

What? I didn't know anything about toll booths. It would have been nice if you explained or included some links.

It's not unusual for something to cost money when it was originally touted as something that wouldn't cost money (remember the Iraq war?), and fare hikes are not usually dependent on a disaster. But I'm not sure why Homeland Security can force a city to pay for something. And what I really don't understand is why the Straphangers coalition no longer objects, ever, to fare hikes.

I heard on the news that the proposed fare hikes were to be 4% in 2019 and 4% in 2021.
For me that means a nickel twice. I can live with that.
