I agree... Both depressing.... Myrtle and Broadway is so run down and decrepit and that subway overhead doesn't help. Depressing. I was there years back doing a friend a favor. The cops saw me and looked at me like are you really passing through this run down place? Lex and 125th though... Even with that big NYPD patrol unit there you always have people running game. The meth heads go from there to Park and 125th by Metro-North and south on Lex all the way near to 121st. Just a depressing area. I HATE walking over there. It's telling how many cops are there yet you still don't feel safe walking there.

A couple new apartment buildings for "Ohioans" are going up on Myrtle-Broadway right next to the rehabilitation treatment center.

Could 125th really be worse? I wouldn't know, I never go uptown, but Myrtle-Broadway is full of zombies. The last couple of mass overdoses during past two years were centered around Myrtle-Broadway.

Yep. A few times I've had to refill at 125th early in the morning and boy did I have my head on a swivel.

That also. East Harlem in general is still FILTHY. Even with gentrification, the old timers do their best to keep the place dirty. You would think they never heard of a garbage can.
