I see so many of these in Southeast Queens, but I haven't noticed them elsewhere. Is this mostly a Southeast Queens thing or do the other boroughs have them too?

Dude just say Jamaica. The places you are calling Southeastern Queens are that far South. Also the most Southern parts of Queens like Howard Beach and the Rockaways don’t have these vans.

I'm referring to as far South as 147th Ave, which is right by JFK. That neighborhood does have a Jamaica, NY mailing address but so do Woodhaven and Ozone Park which are Southwest Queens.
People use these vans to go from Jersey over the George Washington Bridge to the A train.
Union City and Latino heavy neighborhoods around the Lincoln Tunnel as well. Drop/pickup outside the Port Authority but a few of them use basement level gates inside the terminal.

Rockaway had dollar vans since the 1980s. Two routes. One goes to Parsons and Archer, roughly following the path of the 113, and the one route goes down the beach to Beach 90th, sometimes to Beach 116th, similar to the Q22.

I got off the Q53 at Beach 95th last week and at the same time saw a lady get out of a dollar van going east on Rockaway Beach Blvd.
