The end of what? There will always be a subway, calm down. You try moving millions of people a day without a subway, and see how that works out. LOL.

In the end the money will come from taxes and not a bad time when the economy and housing are still rocking. I think this show was more of a PR because the MTA has such a bad rep the last few years. But as always it sucks to be a millennial because they're always on the hook for their parents bad decisions or kicking the can down. The reason boomers have pensions and windfall from the past booms because they kept kicking the can down and now their children have to pay for it.

Get a grip.

No one is saying would be end of subway system, just that MTA/NYCT will not be able to reverse losses and or recover numbers to what they once were.

Once people find other options that work for them, they usually do not return to old ways. Everything from biking to ride shares are affecting subway/bus ridership numbers and those things aren't going away.

They need to make the PATH card and turnstile reader the default for both PATH and MTA Subway.

I didn't watch the show but as someone who has ridden the NYC subway enough times, I know that the system is outdated!
