Ever wondered why the inner city minority communities can never seem to shake GUN crimes and GANG Culture?

Ever wonder why Cops who try to do the right thing and arrest the "Bad Guys" (who are then let go back in the streets a day later) give up on fighting real crime after a while?

Look no further than JUDGES. No one holds them accountable, ever!

https://nypost.com/2019/04/19/judge-...-gun-violence/

A Brooklyn gangbanger got busted with a loaded, stolen revolver in a caught-on-video incident — but a softie judge cut him loose with little more than a homework assignment, The Post has learned.

Judge Ellen Edwards rejected a prosecution request to set bail at $25,000 for Ismail Abraham, 18, following his arrest in East New York, law-enforcement sources said on Friday.

Instead, Edwards gave Abraham an 8 p.m. curfew and told him to compose a “report on gun violence in the community,” sources said.

It was unclear how many pages Abraham has to write, or when his assignment is due.

Abraham is a member of the “G Stone Crips” and has four prior arrests that are sealed, including two for gun possession during the past year, sources said.

“It just goes to show you how out of touch these judges are,” said a retired NYPD detective who formerly worked in the high-crime neighborhood.

“She should have to sit in jail until he finishes the report. She probably won’t have to make plans for a long time.”

Abraham was arrested around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday when cops saw him toss a .38-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver loaded with five bullets to the ground outside a Newport Street house, court papers say.

Surveillance video also shows him ditching the gun — which was reported stolen in Chicago — while trying to run away down an alley, sources said.

Edwards put the teen back on the street at his arraignment on Wednesday, sources said.

The move came a day after she overruled a prosecution request for $100,000 bail in the case of a teacher charged with repeatedly molesting an 11-year-old girl in his class, including on a school bus during a field trip.

Edwards instead set bail for PS 224 teacher Daniel Santiago at just $7,500.

Edwards, a Democrat, was elected in 2017, when she came in fifth among the candidates for six seats in Brooklyn Civil Court. She was assigned to sit in Brooklyn Criminal Court following her victory.

She wasn’t working Friday and didn’t return messages, but court-system spokesman Lucian Chalfen defended the bail ruling as “well within her discretion.”

Abraham’s Legal Aid lawyer also didn’t return a phone message, and his mother, Nicole Abraham, refused to comment.

“Who told you about my son?” she said before slamming shut the door to her family’s Crown Heights apartment.

This judge is obviously a left wing extremist, but the constitution does say that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

If you think this judge made her decision based on a pro-2nd Amendment stance you better go see the doctor.

If Billy Bob with a legal firearm was driving through NYC on his way to another pro-gun state and ended up in front of her, you bet your butt he'd be spending a few days in Rikers.

I'm as liberal as can be but when it comes to people who are a threat to others wellbeing, I say lock 'em up and throw away the key. Freeing them isn't worth the risk

liberal judges like these only harm the communities they purport to assist. they encourage violence in disadvantaged communities

Not to worry. Those liberal judges live no where near these communities, nor do their kids go to schools where gang affiliated people go to.

I wonder if the judge asked people who live in these communities what they think of a gang banger writing a book report what they think of it? Of course not rich liberals know everything so dont ask. The kid can write his book report in jail.

I see what the judge is trying to get at but a lot of people need help. They need counseling and a lot of people can't get the treatment they need. Also when you make a mistake once, it can ruin your life. People with even a small record face employment discrimination and research shows that employment reduces the chances of recidivism. Forget about school too because some are barred and even if they get in, are denied access to student loans. The system needs fixing. What I'm trying to say is that for there to be true change, we need to move past little simple fixes and address everything that contributes to the criminal justice system we currently have.

There are some crimes like shop lifting which might be best sorted out with what she recommends but being a gun slinger, potentially killing people, isnt one of them.

Yes he can write his book report and get job training in jail, and if he isnt a repeat offender this record can eventually be wiped out. But people who live in these communities need to do so safely.

Contrary to what the racists who post on this forum love to suggest most people who live in poor communities are not violent and neither do they endorse violence. They too have rights.
