Yes people talk about it often how much they hate gentrification but tbh gentrification doesent do too much for a neighborhood but make it a lil more convenient with nice amenities . Literally there’s a Starbucks and people say gentrification lol , I like all the new restaurents and bars other amenities , it makes the neighborhood more convenient it attracts higher income transients and in result in lower crime . Williamsburg and bushwick although gentrified still has its classic neighborhood feels , same goes for lower east side and east village , Harlem etc . When I go to Harlem I don’t feel like it’s gentrified much still feels like regular Harlem, besides a few new restaurents it’s still the hood Too , it has along way to go before it even becomes like the lower east side

Don't worry, Harlem will resemble Westchester County in another 40 years

I don’t know what to make of that as I’m not too too familiar with much of westChester county but parts I’ve seen of Yonkers mount vernon , etc has many big houses and Ossining and other upstate looks like long island which is impossible for Harlem to mimic because it has no suburban housing all apartment buildings. There’s some nice new buildings but 90 percent of architecture is going to be the same . Harlem in aesthetics is just a more polished Bronx in terms of building types and stores etc , I crossed the 145th street bridge in a Uber without noticing it I was on Lenox Avenue it still looked like Mott Haven to me hahaha . But at its best it can become like the lower eastside , Delancey street is still ugly and dirty , in a way 125th actually looks better it’s just more notorious and of course is a much longer street

Sorry I should have been more specific. I meant in terms of income. It will become overall a wealthy enclave.
