When you have 3 minority groups doing one of the 3 following things:
A. Teach 7 year olds math.
B. Teach 11 year old boy to run a corner and play B-Ball.
C. Teach 9 year old girls how to dance to "Dame mas gasolina".
Whichever culture does "A" will always perform better academically then cultures that do "B" and / or "C".

There are a lot of European and Asian nationals who send their kids to District 2 elementary schools. Some of these schools are French bilingual. I wonder how it will all turn out? Other high powered parents claim to want diversity for their kids, but you know that they really don't want to deal with the problems some of these kids bring with them. These parents are all too young to know about/direct experience the busing problems that went on in the 70s or they are transplants from other areas, mostly suburban, where none of that happened. The many educated foreign parents haven't a clue.

I would not use the term equality. Those that follow the ideology of woke, and social justice activism no longer believe in the term equality. The three proper terms to use are equity, inclusion and representation. Since district 2 school district covers affluent areas of Manhattan, intergrating low income students into high income areas of the school district provides them with equity due to the area being upper income.
The ideas based on black, idegenious, LGBT, women, gender, muslim and undocumented are issues that are currently taking over the white anglo saxon world by storm and mainly come out of academia institutions. The clergy, and the government failed the people at morality, thus the academy is the last pure moral institution that exist in the Anglo Saxon Western world and is planning on changing everything.
With that said. Plenty of these folks who live in Manhattan like white liberals that pretend to be woke, and virtue signal being woke. Watch such families pull thier children out of schools to send them to private or move to the suburbs. Such people may be woke in their words, but not woke in their actions. With taht said, get woke go broke.
