Wow. I travel out of the US a lot, or at least enough to warrant this given I get it for free from a credit card. The biggest grievance was last landing at JFK in November and while I went through customs in about 5-10 min, my girlfriend took 2 hours. It's a compounding pain when you have just gotten off of a 14 hour flight and you have at least another hour before you can rest your head down on your bed. At least when we travel domestically, she gets my TSA Pre, but my card expires soon and it looks like I can't get her in nor renew myself. I don't want to sit in another 3 hour security line with no AC at ORD.

What. The. ****. Why do people bend over backwards for illegal immigrants. I'm trying so hard to emigrate legally to Japan, and these guys are basically walking across the border/ocean I hate our politicians and am debating switching my registration to Dem so I can vote them out.

This doesn't affect TSA Precheck. Only the customs trusted traveler programs.

"Notably missing in the list of now-restricted programs is the Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck program,"

You can physically register for TSA Precheck. It's 85.00 for 5 years. I submitted my application and fingerprints at a HR Block near the courts in Manhattan.

Yeah, I noticed that. I'd really like to keep Global Entry since I fly internationally more than domestically. Credit Card covers the cost for both, so cost is relatively irrelevant outside comparing against the AF.

I already made that decision. A political flyer canvasing for votes in my neighborhood had the following as their platform:

More money for attorneys for immigrants. Likely for illegals as the many times that i have had to apply for an immigration benefit for myself or a family member I had to pay out of pocket, not an offer of assistance was made.

MORE criminal justice reform.

Money for public housing and affordable housing. Billions for NYCHA. If they need billions demolish the entire thing and relocate them somewhere cheaper

Keeping ICE out of our courts/jails! Like Wtf. The only thing that was even remotely geared towards middle class voters was equitable property tax structure. Which says nothing as my property taxes have increased substantially.

There's been no executive order or policy change for this yet. CBP hasn't even been notified. So maybe this is one of those things he announces to fox news with no plan for implementation and then ignores or loses inrerest in it.

Let us see how far NYC is willing to pander to illegals and criminals before the actual voters say enough.

Well now that illegals have NY State Drivers Licenses allowing them to pose as quasi citizens, this added travel security is a good thing? Probably. Its probably designed to protect the US citizens... one can only hope...
