They should build a tunnel from Jersey to LI anyways
Boston's "Big Dig" tunnel hot mess of a rat hole was likely the last such project in USA for a long, long time.

Even Seattle couldn't do it much cheaper either: https://www.king5.com/article/news/l...b-c57339cb6482

East Side Access is millions over budget and exceedingly late: https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york...gqu-story.html

So imagine just what a hot mess any tunnel going from LI to NJ would be.....

Besides NYC/NYS has a more pressing issue; that crumbling Brooklyn Queens Expressway (and Gowanus not far behind) that is going to fall down if not redone.

It's funny you say that because I've met several wealthy individuals who absolutely hate the guy and give him no credit for anything. But the facts don't lie, the man is an absolute genius. He literally taught himself rocket science and is the first person to figure out how to pinpoint land upright and re-use spacecrafts for pennies on the dollar of anyone else. He made electric cars cool and is on track to single-handedly re-make the entire auto industry.

Haters gonna hate

Maybe you're right. Wake me up when he's completed any kind of tunnel project that scales.

This is true, but the city of Chicago is the first big paying client for Boring and we'll see soon enough how that works out

Eh, Chicago seems to be less enthused about that than before. It doesn't look like it's gonna happen
