But not everyone is impressed with the TikTok app, including New York Senator Chuck Schumer.
Tiktok is owned by a Chinese-based company called ByteDance.
Schumer says it's run by China's government and the use of the app by any U.S. agency is a threat to Americans.
So it's safe to say that Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat all do the same thing??

Speaking of Facebook, all my "friend suggestions" suggested by Facebook, over the past two-three years that I have been posting on this forum, have been ghetto types :-). I guess Facebook tracks my logging on this forum, and recommends "friends" based on a profile of an average poster on NYC City Data Forum. Time for me to stop wasting time here (loong overdue :-)))). If I just turned over to NYPD the list of my "friends" that are suggested to me by Facebook, that could probably identify every single criminal in NYC :-). Who needs stop & frisk - a NYPD detective could just check out NYC CD Forum daily, and then check his "friends" suggested by Facebook :-).
