These laws seem fine to me overall, though I don’t see how workable a tamper-free food case is and how prevalent the issue of delivery people sampling food really is.

"A bill to create tamper-free food packaging so delivery people won’t eat the food"

This is precisely why I have not tried Uber Eats yet

Is there anything the city council won't stick their nose in? If you're worried about your food don't use the service.

Why do people constantly need to Gov't to nanny them.

I just order pickup, never actual delivery. Curious how that will be affected.

Really is incredible that they are trying to legislate business administration now. If Grubhub is charging $25 for a burger you can can get for $5 by picking up the phone, then you're either stupid or have plenty of money and it's nobody's business to protect you from your own damn self

Yea, that part I don’t quite get. I think legislating things like having to list the surcharge amount these services levy on top of the food itself is reasonable as is not charging restaurants for calls that do not result in orders though I think that should be more about having more explicit disclosure of those fees because I think fees hidden in a lot of legalese is generally pretty heinous, but fees disclosed for an elastic good that has competitors is fine.

I didn’t realize the tampering was a real issue. Pretty good for preventing plague spread!

I don't have food delivered, but that's something that never, ever crossed my mind.
