China severely delayed even admitting the virus was a thing while it circulated. People were face planting in the streets before they locked down Wuhan.
Still time to lock down NYC. Zero sense in letting the epicenter of North America to continue taking it elsewhere.
Um, you realize that many people who work in NYC live outside of NYC. Lets not forget who was the first confirmed case, and spread it to his family and neighbors was someone that DID NOT live in NYC.
Well I would agree it also makes zero sense to allow more who are infected to come to NYC either. Put an end to it both ways.
NYC's main problem is density. Don't add to it. Lessen it.

Is this your first crisis/disaster?
Locking down NYC isnt going to do anything. Its too late. Those who commute into NYC have already left and took the virus with them. Many essential workers for NYC dont even live in NYC, this include the healthcare workers, law enforcement, food providers. (The running joke is many work in a city they cannot afford to live in).
The moment its locked down and those individuals cannot get to their daily job NYC will turn into a Snake Plisskin movie.
There as side of this that no one's talked about. I wonder what's happening on Tinder through all this?
People are bored. A lot are likely alone. Bars are closed. Smartphones still work. The lack of neutral ground to meet at beforehand would be problematic. One would think the pandemic would put people off. But this is New York. People are going to do what they want, especially behind closed doors.
Edit: Searched. Traffic is up. Are people actually meeting physically? Who knows, but I wouldn't be surprised if at least some are.
It's too late. The virus has been in NYC since February. Nyc is the epicenter for the whole entire nation. Expect by Sunday. United States will have 100k infected with nyc having 50 percent of all infections.

Tinder is not really happening anymore but Bumble is. With Bumble it has built in video chat so you can easily see whose trying to catfish or BS and shut them down real quick. Tinder on the other hand is filled with "Im not on here much, DM me on snap-chat or Instagram". When you get there to instagram you have to follow them before you can message them and they will never message you back (doing it to increase follow count) Or snap chat you get there and its "fans only".
Right now what females are doing on Tinder is trying to get money from desperate men stuck at home. so basically cash app for nudes

I'll give it a couple of weeks before these simps run out of Disposable cash then it should smooth sailing after that lol.
With ventilators in short supply, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, one of the city’s largest systems, has begun using one machine to help multiple patients at a time, a virtually unheard-of move, a spokeswoman said
In the neighborhood it serves, Elmhurst, more than two-thirds of residents were born outside of the United States, the highest such rate in the city. It is a safety-net hospital, serving mainly low-income patients, including many who lack primary care doctors.
Queens accounts for 30 percent of New York City’s confirmed coronavirus cases, more than any other borough and far more than its share of the city’s population. It also has fewer hospitals.
Medical workers said they saw the first signs of the virus in early March — an increase in patients coming in with flulike symptoms before the alarm had been fully raised in the city and the country.
The line of people waiting outside of Elmhurst to be tested for the coronavirus forms as early as 6 a.m., and some stay there until 5 p.m. Many are told to go home without being tested.
