Don't underestimate a person. Especially when they are playing a character. She is well educated and graduated with honors. People need to remember that politics is like professional wrestling. All politicians are playing a character whether that is the good guy or the heel.
GWB JR was always branded a moron, dumb, etc. But he was elected President 2x and made himself and his family richer in the process.
I always felt George W, AOC & Trump have a bit of theatrics in public view. They are a bit smarter than they lead on.
I don't think just taxing the rich is what's needed. The problem is the corruption and loopholes. We need to fix that first. We can start by getting rid of Citizens United.
Corporations that move off shore? There should be a tax on everything they bring in to make it more lucrative to manufacture here. We have to restore the middle class. Our country was stronger with a healthy middle class. I would raise the tax to 28% on corporations from 21%. I always thought that was too low.
Taxing the rich? How about just eliminating the loopholes and giving them a minor increase? We all have to pay our fair share. AOC? Just another talking head with a talking point that appeals to a certain segment of the Democrat base. You know, that tribal us against them mentality.
Also find out where Deblasio's wife lost tax payer billion dollars?
Maybe Bill can appoint her to a new committee with a new budget to find out where the money went.

Yes of course, an excellent education that led to a promising career in bartending
And come on man, putting a high school science fair project on the resume, seriously?

That is not a resume it's a bio
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a BA from Boston University in Economics and International Relations.
During college, Ocasio-Cortez served as an intern for U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy, in his section on foreign affairs and immigration issues. She recalled, "I was the only Spanish speaker, and as a result, as basically a kid—a 19-, 20-year-old kid—whenever a frantic call would come into the office because someone is looking for their husband because they have been snatched off the street by ICE, I was the one that had to pick up that phone. I was the one that had to help that person navigate that system. After college, Ocasio-Cortez moved back to the Bronx and took a job as a bartender and waitress to help her mother—a house cleaner and school bus driver—fight foreclosure of their home. She later launched Brook Avenue Press, a now-defunct publishing firm for books that portrayed the Bronx in a positive light. Ocasio-Cortez also worked for the nonprofit National Hispanic Institute.
During the 2016 primary, Ocasio-Cortez worked as an organizer for Bernie Sanders's presidential campaign. After the general election, she traveled across America by car, visiting places such as Flint, Michigan, and Standing Rock Indian Reservation in North Dakota, and speaking to people affected by the Flint water crisis and the Dakota Access Pipeline. In an interview she recalled her December 2016 visit to Standing Rock as a tipping point, saying that before that, she had believed that the only way to run for office effectively was to have access to wealth, social influence, and power.

No, she comes from a professional background. Her father was an architect. They lived in Westchester during her school years. About her mother being a "housecleaner"..... I know a physician from Latin America who got a work visa to the US as a foreign nanny/maid, and worked as a nanny/maid for a year while applying for residency training programs in the US. It does not mean anything, her one year of nannying/housecleaning does not make her working class.
