"Her office also negotiated a $240,000 deal for 11 workers at The Spotted Pig, a Manhattan restaurant part-owned by celebrity chef Mario Batali. The staff claimed the eatery was a hotbed of sexual harassment with principal owner Kenneth Friedman forcibly kissing female workers and pressuring them to send him nude photos."

Just shows how corrupt many of these New York politicians are. They don't care if someone is a sex predator, all they want is their approval - probably for funding or some kind of needed acceptance.

When will NY'ers stop voting blue. This is what you get. Didn't she just downgrade that felony assault on police officer to a misdemeanor??? Yep, look no further than ourselves to blame.

I agree!

And her new "pet project", destroying the NRA..........IMHO, it has NOTHING to do with Wayne LaPierre's $2500 suits, or vacations paid for, by the organization. It's just a cover story for wanting to trample all over the 2nd Amendment....at the same time they want to defund the police, let hardened criminals out of jail because they might catch the flu, and leave the residents unarmed, and on their own, for self-protection. AND, in a "back handed" way, screw over President Trump.

James is as dumb as a rock. John Sollazzo promoted her throughout the party and now we are stuck with a easily manipulated dummy at the helm of the state AG.

Doesn't that sound like how we have potentially wound up with a Democratic VP candidate known as Kamala Harris?

Make deals, and settlements are part of process. Lots of people agree to not press charges if perp makes up and pays back the victims.

Harris isn't a dummy. I am bias because I spent time with James over the years helping out Sollazzo on some campaigns. John was a North Shore guy and heavily promoted her. She owes a lot to John Sollazzo, and John Gulino. But, make no mistake about it she was put in certain spots because they could control her. When de Blasio ran back in 2013 no one saw him coming, the party was backing Thompson. When DB got in it turned out to be good for James and no one else on SI.
