I was offered a job in construction and need to get my OSHA 30 plus my SST card, but I recently found out that the deadline for the site safety training is September 1st. Does that only pertain to people who are currently working in construction or in general including people who aren't in construction but looking to get into that field?
After september 1st in order to get on a jobsite and get safety certification i.e. a sticker for your hardhat you will need 30 hours of osha and an additional 10 hours to include 2 hours of drug and alcohol training and 8 hours of fall protection.
This applies to current and future employees. If you are offered a job where you need to go on a construction site, before your first day on the job you need to take OSHA 30 and SST
