And there are dozens of people that are 100+ years old that survived covid19, THOUSANDS, MILLIONS of people that had covid19 with no symptoms.
This is the type of lack of critical thinking that has got us all in trouble.

You think broke people will have money to pay for fines? So now they don't have money to pay for bills nor do they have money to pay for fines. Why on EARTH would they care about social distancing or wearing a mask?

I have compassion for people which is why I’m posting about healthcare and not about BS on this forum. You on the other hand, seem to have some strange anger and think that wearing a mask is a full solution to beating COVID. It’s not.

I didn't know it was a political thing until I started finding out it was. I think it's stupid that the right wing made public health a political thing. If these people in the hot areas will not do what is required to keep us all safe, isolate them by shutting the subway stops that go into those areas and setting up roadblocks and let them kill each other. I have never opposed wearing masks. What I oppose is the idea of allowing your health to go haywire with food for garbage, and letting your immune system fail, because the media and politicians like Cuomo, have people believing that wearing a mask is the god of protection against this virus. It's not.
Wow that sucks, and you're right, it's not fair to businesses either. I really don't know what else the city can do besides heavy enforcement but of course, there's a limit on how effective that will be.
It's not nice to blame poor people for "lifestyle choices" and then say it is their fault Covid is messing them up so badly. A lot of poor live in areas with extremely poor air quality and thus develop asthma at higher rates. This is but one example.
