In his latest warning about federal plans for COVID-19 vaccine deployment and how this national strategy will mesh with New York state, Governor Andrew Cuomo said Monday that he will not comply with a federal data sharing request put forward as part of the deal for states to receive the much needed vaccine.
What even is that Federal request? Do they need all this personal data on every New Yorker just to provide a vaccine? Over-reach much? They don't need this to provide the flu shot, or the chicken pox vaccine, or, geez, just about any vaccine, but suddenly this one can't be handed out unless all kinds of personal info is handed over? For anyone who didn't read the article, here's the TLDR of what the hang-up is about:
"Trump administration’s requirement that states submit a personal ID number as well as standard health services data—such as age, sex and ethnicity"
I'm sick and tired of hearing how immigrants are 'hurt' by everything.
