Christine Quinn was under federal investigation for a political slush fund back in 2008. She needed to put some distance between that and her run for mayor, so a third term in city council (presumably remaining as speaker) would not have been a bad thing.

Besides being so far up Michael Bloomberg's but that when he coughed red hairs came out, Christine Quinn stood by and let Saint Vincent's hospital in Greenwich Village (her district) close. Many have never forgotten nor forgave her for that, and it was one of reasons why she didn't even carry her district in mayoral primary.

In fact the Quinn woman's polling numbers were terrible in that mayoral race. Every time someone new entered she dropped down; this included pervy Anthony Wiener. Christine Quinn swift boated AW and thought that was end of her last serious challengers, then out of no where BdeB came on the scene and it was the end of things for CQ.

Besides rolling out is AA wife (with a questionable personal background), BdeB also rolled out trotted out is bi-racial kids.... While the Quinn woman was being roasted over Saint Vincent's closing BdeB got himself arrested in bid to prevent Long Island College hospital from being closed, and land redeveloped into luxury housing.

Ironically once mayor BdeB totally forgot about LICH and in the end exactly what he got arrested for in protesting happened anyway. It took several years longer, and suffered the antics of Johnny Lee Baynes, an AA judge who clearly had political bent in trying to keep what everyone knew was gong to happen eventually from happening...

In the end even Justice Baynes had to throw in the towel and basically allow the original scheme to go through. Again throughout all or for most of this BdeB largely was silent and remained on sidelines.

Simply put the Quinn woman is a product of Manhattan/NYC democrat machine, and she's got to be kept out of NYC politics in any official role. But that's the problem with career politicians, they've got nothing else and don't see themselves doing anything else either.

QC couldn't get another job after leaving city council until Cuomo stepped in to appoint her to something. Then she finally landed her current gig running some homeless service agency. Same one that is trying to bust areas of Staten Island, UWS, etc.. by putting in homeless shelters.

So federal investigation, not found guilty of doing anything,

She didn't save a hospital. Hospitals close because they don't have money, what politician in your decades of living in NYC has any politician saved an entire hospital from closing,

Of course we have to inject race somehow into this, if not we wouldn't be Americans,

Did I get everything?
