I'm glad this is happening. FYI. They need the business.

Co-owner Jennypher Urena says she’s excited to take part in Black Restaurant Week, a national campaign to showcase African American, African and Caribbean cuisine. A foodie herself, Urena is a fan of the city’s semiannual restaurant week; and says this event is a way to include a more diverse range of food options.

This is awesome! Now my white a-s has an excuse to virtue signal my wokeness on social media to all my other white friends when I grab a chopped cheese in the spooky part of town. The caption shall read "Wow! I'm do culturally accepting and diverse!"

LOL but I do wish the black-owned restaurants success.

Sorry, I consider this a bad idea.

If they wanted a neighborhood promotion, like Harlem Restaurant Week, then okay. But the black part is distasteful.

By the way, what about something to help Chinese restauranteurs? Why are blacks more deserving?

Agreed. I feel like this is even insulting. Its like giving a deformed child a medal at gymnastics to make them feel good.

And just in time to be shut down as the covid numbers rise. Still amazes me how we stayed shut down during the summer when we were testing at .5 percent knowing full well the **** was going to hit the fan in the fall.

No wonder people have Covid fatigue.

What exactly amazes you about that? Everyone knows the big city shutdowns in places like LA/NY/Chi were strictly political to harm Trump's re-election chances by artificially suppressing parts of the economy. Well, it worked. And here we are!
