This guy does not seem like an extremist. It depends on what happens tomorrow and the next few months. If there are not more significant violent events maybe they will be more lenient on him.
However is something goes down at the inauguration or other capitals or anywhere and it's by one of the right wing groups they will want to set an example and may throw the book at anybody there. I could be wrong maybe they will do that anyway. I think it depends on if they think these groups are going to pipe down now

I do think younger people who didn't do anything particularly extreme should be treated more leniently, but you don't get a freebie shot at insurrection.
But "dumbass student from Staten Island breaks laws in increasingly dumb and violent ways because he thinks the rules shouldn't apply to him" doesn't seem like a strange narrative to me at all!

That will never happen. They're the approved aggrieved class with the support of the propaganda arm of the leftist party (our media). Only thing we can hope for is that one day, the cops realize that they truly hold all the power, then start annihilating them en masse.
