Same here, getting sick after a flu shot is news to me. Only ever had sore arms from a flu shot.
Yeah. I've taken the flu shot annually for years and I didn't feel anything. Not even a sore arm. Nothing. So much so, that I thought I was given a placebo. That's why when I got the J&J vaccine, I didn't expect any malaise at all. Wrong.
I felt immediately tired but later on that evening, I started to feel achy, my arm was really sore, had a dull, throbbing headache and my stomach felt a mixture of queasy and a pins and needles kind of sensation but what really bugged me were the chills. I had to put on 3 sweaters and a pair of long johns and I was still cold. The next day, I still had the same symptoms but at less intensity. A week has passed and I still have that headache but that's about it. I'm still counting the days until this Sunday when 13 days have passed and I'll be in the all clear for any potential blood clots.

I got both shots of the Pfizer
First time I just had a sore arm and very minor fatigue the next morning
Second time I had a sore arm and a lot of fatigue + some chills the next morning. I slept for like 10 hours and woke up feeling great. This was a week ago and I've been feeling good since.

Jeez! That sounds terrible...
I got Moderna and didn't have side effects outside of a sore arm for either shots (neither did my parents). So yeah, definitely know what you mean about feeling like you got a placebo since a lot of my friends were out for a day or two.
Closest thing COVID is to the flu for me is how I felt after the vaccine
I love it. Time for the slow ones in the bunch to keep up or literally drop out. We have been putting the pandemic on hold for you for too long.
No we have vaccines. Either take it or live like a leper forever.
REVENGE. Been on lockdown all year because of FREEDUMB fighting Americans .
