He was #3 before this story broke. So he wasn't going anywhere anyway.

Apparently the big deal is not that he's not going to get elected, but that people who would have supported him are now endorsing the others, and who benefits from that.

Also, the more I learn the sketchier the story is. Apparently Jean Kim may or may not have been an intern, so the abuse of power bit may not have happened. She also may have recently gathered signatures for Yang. His supporters say technically she wasn't, she was gathering petitions for someone else (an Esther Yang) whose name was on the same petition list, but, yeah. Their names were both on the petition list so it's impossible to prove or disprove this.

I don't care for Stringer, he's the last person I want to see as Mayor, but this is sketchy as anything.

Lol. That Krystal Ball. I wonder, did her parents name her two brothers Wally Ball and Dennis Ball?

Stringer had name recognition but he wasn’t going to win. He went too left on a number of issues and lost moderates, and personality wise progressives circled around Wiley and Morales. What he’s likely to do now is take up enough votes to prevent a more progressive candidate from winning.
