Muslim Day? (Madison: place, venue, Mormon)

I just happened to hear that there exists a Muslim Day parade. In all my years here, I've never heard of a Muslim Day, much less a parade.

Have you heard of it? Have you been to one? Is there a Buddhist parade, too? How about a Mormon parade? Are there costumes and music?

I was raised Muslim, though I've since left the faith.

My mosque and boy scouts troop used to march in the Muslim Day Parade every year. It took place in Manhattan along Madison Avenue, with participants shouting Islamist chants along the way. There were never many spectators, though.

It's been going on for almost 40 years.
