The lawsuit has already been filed, by (amongst others) Inna Vernikov, Brooklyn City Council woman. NYS constitution states «*citizens*» can vote.
So I doubt it will stand. She is herself a naturalized American citizen and immigration lawyer.
But the Democratic Party would do anything to increase their voting base, showing how desperate they are.
I was naturalized a few years ago and I am strongly against it, what is the point of being a US citizen then?
The law will stand. It'll be argues as a special carve out for NYC akin to voting in HS for the student board. I'm not even joking.
There was a time where taking government handouts was looked down upon. No one but the most desperate would entertain the idea.
Nowadays, taking government handouts is a sport. Especially in a city like NYC. Not only is it not looked down upon, in many communities your neighbors think you're an idiot if you're not indulging.
Absolutely right....Birds of a feather stick together and unfortunately, all turkeys.................
Can anyone name any other state supporting this craziness?
Probably California, I have no idea tho.
Still wondering how the will separate ballots, when there are Fed elections on it.
