As a life long Queens native, I figured the Latin pop on SI was much higher actually and more in line with the rest of the boroughs. Surprised to hear it's that low.
I suspect the old guard will continue to move further out to New Jersey, much like they did from the boroughs out to Nassau/Suffolk years ago. But that plan is now blowing up in their faces, unfortunately. Will soon be very hard to find any sort of traditional Americana in the tri state area. A cousin of mine from Yonkers moved out to Tusla, OK. 30 years ago and is shocked when they visit NYC every year at how it's really like 2 different countries (Americana vs. urban North East cities).
