I moved to Woodhaven from Ozone Park as a child in the early 50s. My family got a co-op apartment in a place called Forest Park Apartments (a bunch of buildings across the street from Forest Park). I'm trying to find out whatever happened to a childhood friend named Charles Stark, who was a consummate wise-ass kid. If there are any doddering oldsters out there who remember the area in that time frame, would love to hear from you. Ditto if you have any idea what became of Charles Stark.

I lived in Woodhaven in the 1960s through the mid 1970s so I guess I am about ten years later than your timeframe. Most people who lived in Woodhaven have fond memories of the local businesses like Lewis of Woodhaven. Do you have any specific things you want to discuss other than Charles Stark? I don’t remember that name.

NYC (and the US) are kind of big places, so low probability that you'll find your pal on NYC City Data Forum :-). There are people search websites like Intelius where you can search for people by name, and if you can use the age and likely previous cities/towns where the person lived (which show up in the basic search), you can narrow down on few possibly correct C.Starks. For a small fee the website will give you their mails and phones.

If anything on the web is going to work for this, it's probably Facebook. And even that's a big longshot.

There is a Facebook group named “Your Memories of Growing Up in Woodhaven” with about 7,000 members. Two members have the last name “Stark”. If the OP is serious about his question then he should join the group. He hasn’t responded to any of the replies so maybe it was just a casual inquiry.

Thanks to all for your replies and suggestions. For whatever reason, I didn't get any notifications that there had been replies to my post so didn't find out about your helpful thoughts until now. Thanks again.
