Well NYPD commissioner for one isn't having any of it, but Alvin Bragg is sticking to his guns.

This is going to be so good.....

She can't stand for it. When crime waves are out of control it's her job that's on the line, not Allen Bragg's. Adams will lay the blame on her and fire her. Honestly, if this is how things are going to go I give her 18 months in the job. If the summer is a complete crap show she could be out by September.

see i can understand cutting someone a break when they get caught doing some nonsense like this once and make restitution. when you have career criminals that keep getting thrown back out on the street and allowed to keep committing these crimes we have a serious problem. This guy is 58 years old if he's been caught 30 times he's probably committed crimes like this 1000s of times. We'd be a lot better off throwing him off the empire state building than releasing him over and over again. he's not some kid who got caught up in the wrong crowd and could turn his life around.

Won't this cause another mass exodus out of the city?

The Left has always had a soft spot for criminals. The recent resurgence of the Left highlights this fact, but it is nothing new. I have observed this for decades.

I have always wondered why someone would sympathize more with a criminal than with a victim. While I believe that criminals should be treated fairly (receive fair trial and humane punishment), my natural sympathy is with the innocent victims and their families. I am guessing that a lot of the people pushing these agendas have never been personally affected by crime.

I wonder how much more commentary we would hear from moderates and the right if Eliza Orlins won? I'm sure there would be much more drama.

This song has already been played though...Shea had the same issues with Albany, CY Vance and Eric Gonzalez and it went no where

Briggs is an elected official....no one can make him do anything as of right now...he just has to be voted out
