I have a corporate meeting in midtown on Saturday. I would be leaving midtown at 9pm, E train to penn and then LIRR.

Debating to drive in and park in the garage or commute by train.
Haven’t been in city for work in over half a year.
Time wise it’s about the same. Sure the car is more comfortable, but I hate using garages, never know when they will scratch the car. But then not sure about the subways in eve and all.

I’m actually excited to work a bit in the city, but not at 9 pm.
Commute and bring brass knuckles, roll of quarters in a sock, knife, flame thrower ? Or drive?

Thoughts ?

I value my personal safety over my car being scratched, but that's just me.
There's a self-park garage on 42nd and Dyer Ave.

Got it. Thanks. Drive it is. I kinda miss driving through city. I miss city period. Can’t believe I’m saying it.
I can park 2 blocks away from work and company pays for it.

No brainer, when they pay! I had to make a emergency trip to a datacenter in Manhattan on Friday, building is 7ft from a subway. I drove parked for 68 minutes and charged them mileage, plus lunch on way home picked up a pie for the family. $102 I could of taken the train and subway with lunch and spent $46. Why subject yourself to public transit when it's not your $$!

I'd drive.

Public Transit is nice as an option but stinks to have to rely on it solely.

Was great actually. Drove in, parked in garage. Drive home took 45 minutes door to door. It would be twice longer if I took trains since LIRR runs every hour in eve.

Noticed a lot of crazy driving on Lie heading East, it’s as if they know there are no cops anywhere. Looking at Waze confirmed my suspicion.
Missed the city and the architecture to be honest. Missed high end restaurants and the amazing interior designs, something non existent outside Manhattan.
