I'm thinking of taking a trip in late March 2022. I was wondering if NYC is safe as far as COVID cases and what restrictions are in place.

A few indoor public spaces like medical settings still have mask restrictions as well as public transportation, etc. at the moment.

For those who are unvaccinated, apparently folks know where locals spots are where they are not checking proof of vaccination status. I'll be dining at one such place with relatives on Saturday

The surging violence in crime is being mishandled.

Being vaccinated isn't enough to protect you.

Are you licensed to carry?

The city is unsafe.

Be careful.

Stay away. The city must be starved of revenue in order to motivate politicians to clean things up. When they have to take a budget cut, a salary cut, then they will get serious.

Besides, the weather is starting to warm up. Do you really want to have to wear a Kevlar bodysuit to get around without any perforations in your hide?

According to my law enforcement relatives you can be questioned and detained for wearing Kevlar.

Instead of looking for maskless bold dumb criminals the cops will question law abiding citizens trying to protect themselves.

The best defense is to reside in an area with high home ownership, avoid the subway and jobs that require you to be in Manhattan 5 days a week (F&%$ Kathy) and do not venture out at night extensively.

Hahaha is this serious?????

You are more likely to get shot, shot at, stabbed, raped, pushed in front of a train, spit on, hit in the back of the head by an EDP, mugged than catching covid and having a serious condition.

This is the “new” city. You have been warned
