Look's like I am going to be stuck in Queens for a day or two later this week. Most of my time will be working out of my hotel room, but figure when I am there I will try and at least grab a good slice or two of pizza.
My one problem is I really hate Oregano. So, I am looking for a place I get a couple of slices (or a whole pie if necessary) they is thin crust, good cheese, nice simple sauce, but most importantly doesn't cover the thing in Oregano or overload their sauce with it. I will probably have to take an uber to get anywhere anyways, so anywhere in the general Queens area will be OK with me.
New park Pizza in Howard beach is my favorite since 1992. Still number 1 for me.
Nicks Pizza in Forrest HIlls.
Dees in Forest Hills.
Danis in Kew Gardens.

Sac's Place in Astoria.
and Louie's in Elmhurst.
Queens in huge, though. It can take 45 minutes driving to get from one side to the other, which is 1.5 hours RT in an Uber and pretty expensive. Maybe say the approximate area where you'll be.
Also don't rule out Brooklyn. If you're in Queens near the Brooklyn line, it can be really easy to get there by Uber. Like Paulie Gee's in Greenpoint is very good.

Unfortunately won't know until tomorrow if I even will be stuck there. I have a flight out of JFK Saturday I need to make, but weather Friday up here will be terrible so probably won't be able to get out. So it all depends on what I work out. I could end up staying right near JFK, near Jamaica, or near LGA.

Oh hang in there. Research the hotel well around the airports. SOme are so bad its better to sleep in airport the terminal.
I know. I wish the TWA wasn't getting so expensive. I have overnighted before around there plenty of times. You would think that the hotels would recognize and do something about it, but somehow they never do.
My biggest problem will be if I have to head down the night before, where to pick up a few groceries in the area without a car. There is a lack of stuff where the nearby hotels are.
There is a newish Springhill Suites near Jamaica Station. Not so sure about the neighborhood, though. Any thoughts on that?
Its a poor area with third world type stores all around. Stay inside.
