Heads up. Grand auto larceny is up 250% affecting all 5 boroughs of the city. Especially after the pandemic because auto parts are in demand due to shortage/supply issues.

Seventh, we can always count on you for assurances that it's really not that bad and we just need to accept that high crime is perfectly normal, perhaps even desirable because it "keeps people employed"

You can say what you want, but leaving your car running while unattended is just plain stupid IMO

Another problem in Queens and Staten Island are car owners leaving their cars unlocked in their own driveways overnight. A bad habit to get into.

Also theft of wheels and tires is an issue in Queens. My neighbor had the wheels stolen off her new Corolla about six years ago.

Yeah. Yeah! I agree. I mean car thefts are on the way up regardless but leaving your car running even if you take your keys with you.... no. Why do that?!
