Look around the Ft. Hamilton Parkway station, its right on the edge of Kensington and Windsor Terrace. Nice safe area. You can find Park-Slope quality apartments around there.
I'll look further into the Ft. Hamilton Pkway area. I like being close to Prospect Park but haven't seen those blocks in person other than on Google street view
I guess I prefer to be south of Gowanus, so as to be able to walk over Brooklyn College way, and toward the streets around the Brighton line, for that neighborhoody feel.
I knew about the many F disruptions south of Church Av in recent years. As I understand it, it's signal work (and might be ending? I know these projects drag on.)
