Of course you have good jobs...IN MANHATTAN.

Because there are no lawyers, doctors, etc. or other good paying jobs in the outer boroughs... The trend is more jobs in the outer boroughs and good paying ones too.

You need to stop derailing this thread (im the OP’s partner). I’ve lived in Manhattan my entire life…. Midtown and UES to boot. Moved to Riverdale almost 2 years ago and couldnt be happier…. Which is why we’re looking to buy in Skyview. Your posts are particularly unhelpful because you dont live in or near Skyview, are misinformed, and not telling us anything we dont already know.

I too love Riverdale- I'm a west of the parkway person. I love walking on the winding streets and seeing the houses and apartment buildings. Lovely parks. Generally quiet streets.

I worked in mid-town when I lived in Riverdale. Not a bad commute - to a good job.

So, where do YOU work, Mr./Ms. Flash? Be honest.

As I've stated above, I like living in Riverdale but decided against Skyview and instead chose The Windsors.

Skyview was too big and overpowering for me. Too many people in very large buildings.

The Windsors are only two buildings, and they are not that tall. More comfortable for me.

And I GAVE it to him. I am probably among the very small minority of posters here who have ever actually spent time IN SKYVIEW. Others are babbling and clueless.

And as for the guff about all the doctors and lawyers who live and work in the outer boroughs, I asked the poster where HE worked. He chose not to answer because he knew he would have to agree with me that he works in MANHATTAN. THE only worthwhile advice for someone working in Manhattan and thinking about moving to Riverdale is that the commute is horrific.

If you are one of the "many" doctors here with an imaginary practice in Riverdale, then Skyview might work for you. Hands up Riverdale doctors. Be counted.

Anyone who disagrees that MANHATTAN is the job engine for decent jobs in NYC is a couple ECT treatments behind schedule.

The commute is horrific for YOU because you are MANHATTAN centric and cheap. You won't drive and would only "splurge" for the subway. If you drive or take Metro-North, it's a fairly quick commute.

Exactly. When I lived in Riverdale, I sometimes took the Express Bus into mid-town and sometimes I drove.

Wasn't too bad at all.
