So now if you accidentally bump into someone in the crowded subway system, you could be killed like this poor fellow almost did. This could be any of us.
Won't see me using the subway anytime soon. No thanks.
I haven't used any form of public transportation in 2 years and I have no plans of using the subway in the foreseeable future. I will continue to prioritize my safety.

I have been getting around by car for the most part. If I have to go to Manhattan, I can take the express bus or the railroad. Far more civilized than the subway. I know many people think it's very important to live by a subway, but I for one am glad that I don't, especially with what is going on now. They can keep it.
Back in high school (in Brooklyn) I had just been attacked by a group of thugs while getting on the bus (they tried to steal my iPod and pummeled me when they couldn't get it). A little disheveled, I made my way onto the bus and accidentally stepped on an older guy's foot who was sitting up front. The fool pulled a knife on me. Luckily things ended there, but I still shudder at what could have happened.
