I'm a huge fan of Blue Bloods, especially the early seasons before all of TV went woke. While I don't think Tom Selleck is convincing of the classic Irish NYC police chief, I think Donnie Wahlberg is spot on playing the role of the roughneck, outerborough native detective. Very convincing. I also love how the show is actually filmed all over the city, especially out in Queens.
CBS is trying to replicate Blue Bloods with it's new show East NY. So far only 2 episodes have aired. Like BB, it also appears to shoot scenes in the city (ENY). However, thus far, the characters haven't really been too convincing. Even legendary NYPD Blue, Jimmy Smits, is sort of a joke.
Curious what anyone from the ENY area might think.

Filming and watching your back at the same time. Terrifying to some of these stars..................
