I like it in concept, but living next to all those freeways, ramps, and interchanges are really not my cup of tea. It's also part of what makes Flushing Meadows Corona Park sort of an unattractive park though it is heavily used.

Just wait till those 2,500 units of 'affordable' housing are all voucher/section-8/welfare after a few years. LOL! But at least the 'affordable' renters will have all the baseball fans cars to break into only a few blocks away at CitiField.

Yankee Stadium neighborhood needed this shot in the arm more than Flushing.

Exactly. You forgot to mention it’s basically at the LGA’s doorsteps. Plane noise will probably overwhelm all of the car traffic.

How can anyone say this should be parkland when literally next door is like the third biggest park in all of NYC. Nobody is gonna go to the Iron Triangle for a park
When old Shea Stadium was built, parkland was used for the parking lot . So, that acreage that was taken, was reimbursed with the Iron Triangle.. 1964ish.

Build a Corona East, it is Corona. A neighborhood, with a CUNY/SUNY school. Keep affordable housing vultures out of it!!! Keep Sterling Equities out of it!!!

The city Gobermint knows very well, but dont care, and are chasing a legacy . Especially with the new face of city gobermint.

Lets be real folks, that 7 train is packed to the gills. The location can use traffic coming in, instead of going out towards Times Square.

All these city agencys over by the QB Bridge should be located at the location, as well as training facilities that are out in the boonies by the bowling alley, and the DMV.

Owner Occupied housing, aka mitchell llama; City College and other alternative training facilities. An new community... Now that leaves a lasting legacy for this city, in these times.

Being from this part of Queens, I can tell you how we feel about stadiums built and hardly used. Its that boo shh .

We don't use the term Freeway in NY. Just saying.
