20 years with 5 years of supervisory release. She was sweeping the sidewalk in front of her house when the convict picked up a large rock and began bashing her in the head repeatedly. After he was done he threw s second rock at her head. Prosecutors said there was no previous relationship between the two and the attack was unprovoked. It wasn't even a robbery but a premeditated killing. The prosecutor chose to accept the plea of manslaughter instead of pursuing murder charges. Also hate crime charges were dropped.
This is horrible news. This poor woman was murdered for absolutely no reason at all -- this is the depths of depravity.
Also, why were hate crime charges dropped? I feel terrible for Asian-American New Yorkers, there is an epidemic of anti-Asian crime in New York City and it's clear that elected officials are doing absolutely nothing substantive about the issue.
Sex ed needs to be taught in high school and college. Free condom vending machines. Free abortion with a $50 Amazon gift card.
This fool probably had nothing going in his life. The media needs to do a story on this fool and his family. We need to put a "scarlet letter" on the family associated with this man.
This lady was in her golden years. I feel sorry for her husband and children. Horrible way to go.
Would you consider it a light sentence if YOU had to spend 20 years in prison for ANYTHING?
Not sure I understand your question? Most sane people don't go around beating up random pedestrians to death
There are consequences for bad behavior.
