Santos happened to be in his Douglaston office today when his constituents organized a protest outside his office and demanded to see him, but he barricaded himself inside his office and refused to speak to them:

Why can't they just get rid of him and replace him with another Republican?

He’s in his thirties, and has developed a comfortable paunch like good old boys many years his senior.

Most likely the protestors were Democrats who didn’t vote for him in the first place so these protests are meaningless.

He is a true Republican and will vote for TAX CUTS (on the rich) and increased spending on miliary waste, and however much borrowing to pay for both.
So he will STAY, no matter how much false quibbling by the GOP talking heads.

Why the phrase " STILL SUPPORTS?" Who would expect OTHERWISE?

Uh because they can't just "get rid of him", he was elected. That's not how this works. Smug Democrats thought that they didn't have to bother running what was supposed to be a "safe" district and let this guy slip through.

Honestly though, I'm amused at the people who really care that much. Take a trip down memory lane, the government is full of crooks and always has been:

House rules provide for expulsion of members with a 2/3 vote of members.

Of the 20 members ever removed, 17 of them were for supporting the Confederacy.

Yeah, they should definitely just give up a vote in a tight majority just so people who will never vote for them have feels about it.

We literally don't care. If this guy - or any other GOP stooge - walked down 5th Ave shooting people I'd still vote for him just because your side is so unbelievably toxic. Tax cuts for the rich and more military spending (btw both sides love military spending, the bribes pay well)? *gulp* *looks at tranny story hour for kids and blacks beating on randoms* *holds nose and still votes GOP*
