Founder of investment firm, 46, plunges to his death from NYC rooftop bar https://nypost.com/2023/01/25/founde...c-rooftop-bar/
Sad situation. Apparently he was going through a divorce. I imagine that's tough, but maybe other things were going on because he was a father of 3, so he must have felt really depressed and hopeless to decide to do something this extreme.

The founder of an investment firm plunged to his death from a Manhattan rooftop bar on Wednesday night, cops and law enforcement sources said.
Dale L. Cheney, 46, man plummeted from Bar 54 at the Hyatt Centric Times Square New York in front of at least two witnesses around 6:30 p.m., police and the sources said.
He landed on the street below and was pronounced dead on scene, cops said.
Two people at the rooftop bar told police that the man jumped off the building, sources said.
According to the article, this wasn't the only person to die from a fall at this bar in recent months.

In October, aspiring model Elizabeth Gaglewski, of Queens, fell from Bar 54 before hitting a 27th-floor balcony, the NYPD said. Staff tried to swoop in and stop the 26-year-old woman from falling as she stood on the ledge, sources told The Post in October.
Is the design at this bar flawed and dangerous? Or just coincidental?
With the amount of drug use in this City, I'm not convinced that these two people just jumped off to their deaths. One guy was in finance, an industry known for heavy drug use, and the other was an aspiring model.

The finance guy, it looks like, likely jumped intentionally. He was going through a divorce, and with the economy, his firm might have been in trouble.
The aspiring model's situation is not clear at all based on what I've read.
You'd be surprised at the reasons why Putin conducted the military operation in Ukraine. Many people who support Zelensky don't understand the reasons behind Putin's actions. (Although unacceptable, they're understandable). But I'm often surprised at how people only listen to one side of the story and never question the other side.
Divorce is extremely hard to go through. It definitely takes a toll on mental health.
Absolutely.
The guy was in the financial industry too, which is currently going through a period of uncertainty.
Divorce mixed with professional, financial, challenges and alcohol are a dangerous mix.
