When are drivers going to get pissed off enough to do something about this politically? If two million drivers in NYC, an millions more in the suburbs, organized, got up in the faces of the politicritters, and threatened to run them out off office, this bullchit would end.
Don't talk common sense, now. Remember, these are the same voters who continue to send people like AOC to Congress. Who voted for politicians who ran on bail reform and "defund the police." I think speed cameras are very far down their list.
If trend stay the same the city will make $300-$400 million by end of 2023 since August 1st off speed cameras if state approve speed cameras on MTA crossings it the jackpot for NYC we looking at $950 million total yearly if combine city streets and MTA crossings numbers. The congestion pricing below 60th street in Manhattan closer to $1.7 billion dollars yearly.
