Did you watch the video? Instead of being lazy and have me spoon feed you, you can watch the video and find out for yourself. Unless it is a valued added discussion, why derail a thread just to ask for info that is already available in the link?
Nevertheless, I find it strange you don’t even understand that bail reform has allowed this offender to be released on a very low bail despite the very serious charge of attempted murder of police officers, which before bail reform, would have kept him in jail and thus preventing him from killing two men while he was out.
Watched it the first time and watched it again now. No mention of bail reform in the video. You’re now saying that the bolded part is part of the bail reform. Well I’m no expert, I only heard about eliminating bail altogether whenever this topic comes up.
Agree the system is broken and he shouldn’t have been released, what he did was despicable.
Sadly, he is is housed for life even outside of jail too. No way his sorry aass is able to afford to live here without government help (via our tax dollars). But yes, you are right, keeping him in jail for life costs exponentially more.
The best option was to not have his worthless life be brought into this world in the first place.
Shouldn’t two murders equate to automatic execution ?

In addition to eliminating bail (or being held without bail) for a great number of offenses, NY's bail reform law also requires judges to consider a defendant's ability to pay when setting bail for those offenses still subject to bail (goes to the lower bail rates we're seeing in some cases) and created a presumption of release for those offenses that are still subject to bail, so long as someone isn't deemed a credible flight risk. https://www.jjay.cuny.edu/news/real-...ight.%E2%80%9D
He was let out on bail while facing charges for attempted murder of a police officer. Now two black men are dead because he was let out. How is bail reform helping the black community again? And why is the black community still overwhelmingly voting for the Democrat Party?
Bail reform also means that many crimes that used to be set at a very high amount is now reduced and flatten to just a few hundred and likely no court appearance if you agree to the letter fines in the mail.
All bail reform does is made the court system more lean and automated many fines and lessen bail burden and requirements. This is intentional in a society where crime was going down but since then career criminals have took advantage of lower bail requirements and ignored fines and continued to become menace to society until the severity of their crime is high enough.
You get who you vote for.......................suckka
