I was wondering if there are good Jewish delis you’d recommend in NYC.

I tried Katz’s in the Lower East Side and I wasn’t impressed.

I remember the Stage Deli (my parents knew the original owner personally) and of course the legendary Carnegie both of which are no more.

Bens is a chain and there is one a mile from us.
For,a quick fix its nit bad. It's no Katz when it comes to pastrami but hey, it's 2 min away.

Separate Bens in Rego, park was better, it's closed now.

If you didn’t like Katz’a, the others aren’t much different. “Jewish” delis in NYC are long gone. It’s a front to suck money from tourists and transplants from the Midwest.

A replacement is scheduled to be open in the future at a former diner in Forest Hills.
