I find the side streets in Woodhaven incredibly narrow comparred to side streets in Richmond Hill, so for me thats a hard pass.
Speaking of side streets in Richmond Hill, I'm surprised the DOT never did anything to 111 St. It's a two way street that's wide enough to be 4 lanes, and it could actually benefit from changes similar to what they did to Lefferts in SOP.
Because of crime and overall neighborhood location. It doesn't matter anyways, transplants tend to take the beatings moving into areas known to be bad and eventually they will get better.
Not the worst part of Queens you could live in but not as safe/nice as the North East areas of Queens that are closer to Long Island a bit greener. I also don't like what's south of Richmond Hills (Ozone Park area).
But as I always say, it's in the eye of the beholder that counts. If you're born/raised in Queens and a poc it's probably not a bad place to live. If you're white (native or transient) I'd stay clear of it. Too close to hoods.

That street is perfect for people learning to drive.
Proximity to Jamaica? Despite what some might try to tell you, Jamaica, Queens is still Jamaica, Queens.
In queens, the further you are from Jews and Asians, the cheaper the real estate.
Remember, in NYC real estate there are no deals unless you’re a long term investor (not primary residence). If things seem *cheap*, they’re *cheap* for a reason.
