It used to be nuclear war and being in the #1 prime target.
As I aged it slowly turned to fear of a slow painful death amid doctors who would be afraid to adequately dose me for my pain, fearing I might become an ADDICT.
The fear of homelessness has always lurked in my back brain.
And of course the HORROR of ever having to go back to work again remains a paramount nightmare.

NYC would be the prime target and not DC or other strategic military assets (naval ports, Air Force bases, military factories, etc.)? This is a stereotype outsiders have correct about us. We're too self-centered.
I don't think you realize just how many people are A-OK with not working and just sitting on their behind.

This is very true, because so much people waste their time and energy on things they can't control and the result is not only time wasted but getting yourself into unintended consequences.

Most of the things I worried over never came to be and the bad things that did happen were things I never worried about! Worry is a wasted endeavor. You worry about all the wrong things.
I think we see worry as a preventative measure but that's just not true. Doesn't stop me from worrying though.
