it’s more a case of our needs changed as we got older .

i love hunting and fishing , i liked skiing too which is why we originally bought in the area .

17 years ago our focus was very different, what we wanted in the area was different..

today we have other priorities and the area lacked to many of them or poorly represented some of them.

our friends are in the carolina’s . we have friends in both north and south carolina and we would have most of our priorities met in those areas.

we booked a trip to sun city hilton head to check it out and see about renting for 3 months next winter .we have friends there

Try that one.

A lot of people here retire to the coast. In a couple years they are moving back into the valley. It sounds romantic living at the coast. However, everything you need is closer into the metropolitan area. You're older and driving on the narrow roads in bad or iffy weather gets more dangerous. Properties at the coast take a beating as does your vehicle so the cost of maintaining your life at the coast is higher.

I get what you are referring to. Hard to follow people to different areas. I always resisted my 17 year older sister request I move near her in Colorado because I knew they have so much money they can move whenever they want. It would cost me too much and then I could not blow money following them every time they move (nor would I want to). It's her husband. She said she would have been happy staying on their house on Audrey drive (their first house). Some men are really hard to keep up with and an overwhelming amount of work.

Update:
According to my new taxes I'm in Northampton County.
This county borders Lehigh and Bucks Counties.

Not bad. I like Northampton County, especially Hellertown and Bethlehem.

I was going to say based on your commenting of location sounds like Northampton. Try Johnnys Restaurant in Bangor. Italian as close to NUC taste as you’ll get out there. His brother owns 2 pizzerias here in the Poconos, both excellent as well.

Actually NEPA is 10 counties and also includes Wyoming, Susquehannna, and Columbia counties.

Northampton is considered Lehigh Valley.
