A nice photo showing what happens with one Police department lowers standards

Opinion:

Stop it now. Kung Fu Pandas got game.

Makes no sense. You want your cops to be intimating to criminals. I don’t think most cops want to mess with the average person unless they’re not allowed to mess with criminals.
I see too many NYC cops that are visibly out of shape and less than menacing. While I do appreciate the greatly increased presence especially in the subways, I see situations where cops chase a high school kid (white and well dressed !) for jumping the turnstyle, stopping folks from walking through the gate when people exit at some stations, and ignoring everything at other stations?

I remember way back in 2002 or 03, I came down to NYC from Burlington VT and was shocked at how fat the cops were then. Up in Burlington they were in great shape.

It boggled my mind that the biggest city in the country had such low standards for police.

When I moved to the city in 2013, the cops seemed okay. Not as many fatties. I guess it's hit or miss, really.

Imagine what type of a person wants to become a cop in nyc to deal with worst people nyc has to offer. Burlington is like paradise in comparison.

These females look like cops.
NYPD look like Slobs.
It's not rocket science.
Those NJSP uniforms are not well suited for street cops in a large city. Hats are too easy to lose, not designed to run in, too many bits and pieces that can be grabbed or can hang up on obstacles.
