...you're not being 'deceived', you're being punk'd...anyone and i mean anyone who listens to the CDC guidance and sees any logic in said guidance, well, needs their head examined...
People truly have no understanding of how these agencies work, or how any type of medical guidelines are put together.
Any time I've tried to point it out I get insults, "conspiracy theorist" of course.
And this one is pretty cut and dried. Mask wearing has cause developmental deficiencies in speech.
Instead of acknowledging that, CDC just changes the guideline. Parent are none the wiser and happy when the pediatrician says "Your child is hitting his milestones perfectly, he's completely on track."

Blissfully unaware that he is actually behind.
...you are absolutely correct!...and that's on them, the parents, not the CDC...
...im thoroughly convinced if the CDC came out and proclaimed that inserting a peeled potato into your anus will keep you safe from getting covid...the number of people in this country that would actually try it would be mind boggling...scary stuff..
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Learn the Signs. Act Early. program, funded the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) to convene an expert working group to revise its developmental surveillance checklists.
The American Academy of Pediatrics is the one that made the recommended changes. The reasons for the changes and the lack of study in these areas were also noted in the linked publication.

Approximately 80% of the final milestones had normative data from ≥1 sources. Social-emotional and cognitive milestones had the least normative data.
In other words, many of the milestones were made with very few to nearly 1 source used as the backing for the original guideline and needed to be updated. This is a very normal process in medicine. Guidelines made with 1 source for a nation of 300 million people is not a good guideline, you need much more to base it on and should be updated with all the current info we have now.

Gimme a break.
The CDC funded the study, and as we know from Project Veritas, has a direct interest in the production of vaccines due to their lucrative contracts with tax payer subsidized Big Pharma.
And now, with serendipitous timing, they propose downgrading the requirements just at the very moment the FDA was trying to obtain clearance for vaccinating children as young as 6 months old.
The truth is, the whole thing stinks to high heaven, and we already know they can't be trusted.

The idea is to better be able to differentiate between normally progressing children and true disabilities. As someone who works with families to identify developmental delays, this is a welcome change.
Whoever wrote the article in the OP just doesnt seem to actually understand the reasons for the change, and how it’s actually a good thing.
That. Exactly.
The standard of what was a concern for children's abilities and developmental milestones, has changed during this pandemic. Because children of average ability will have a lower level of achievement right now, and without therapy or intervention will catch up, although these measurements we're seeing right now would have caused concern in normal times.
Mainstream children, who have suffered a short setback, don't need to be diagnosed and treated as if they are delayed due to a disability. They're not. They're normal. And will catch up.
Everyone knows children have suffered a setback in development in the last two years. No one is trying to say that's not true. Including the CDC.
OP - you say this is "evil". Do you want ALL these children who are temporarily delayed diagnosed with a disability? That's what they're avoiding.
