Okay so I plan on moving in the near future to either Brooklyn or Queens. I have 2 dogs that were professionally trained and are extremely well behaved. The are both medium sized dogs (approx 55 lbs) I also have 2 cats.

Is it possible that people will not rent to us because we have two of each pet ? They are all current on shots and I have documentation to prove the training for the dogs.

What am I looking at here ??

Thanks in advance

I was expecting to see Kevrltr here, pitching Westchester as a pet-friendly haven.

Find a good realtor and hope that your karma is good.

Good luck to you both.

I have read that the renter should work directly with the landlord ?

The realtor will know which landlords don't allow pets at all and therefore will save you a lot of time and wasted running around.

If you are interested in Long Island, I know of a realtor who specializes in pet friendly rentals. I don't know if she has any connections in Brooklyn or Queens.
