UPDATE: John "Junior" Gotti, 44, has been arrested at his Long Island home.

He told the media in the past that he has retired from the Mob, and he has, but the law is obsessed with the Gottis and looked for a way to put in back in court. Just like his father, Johnny Boy, Junior also had mistrials. This time, I think, he will go down.

So are the Italian mobsters of 2008 100% Italian? What are the rules on that, 50% Italian or something? I believe that Gotti Jr. is half Italian, am I correct?

i remember that if you're not 100% italian you cant be a made man, from the movie goodfellas. jimmy conway (played by Robert Deniro) and henry hill (played by Ray Liotta) were half-irish.

Well, actually it depends on the family. Some let in half-Italians (but your father has to be Italian) or people who are almost certainly not Italian if they have been adopted by Italians at an early age. For example Ray Liotta is not Italian by blood (he is adopted and he is actually ethnically Irish), but since his adoptive parents were Italian some mafia families would accept it as good enough.

Like John Gotti Jr. is half Jewish and boss of the mob in Providence was half Irish and I think one of the bosses in Cleveland was half German.

A lot of Mobsters are now brought in from Italy and Sicily. John "Junior" Gotti was half Italian and half Russian, but because he was Gottis son, the rules were bent.

I had one last question that I forgot to ask, where does the Mafia keep all of their money? Overseas accounts, in safes, in the ground, etc....??

The Mafia use the Cayman Islands and keep it under the mattress for loaning out.
