I am new to city-data forums, and this is my first post. Anyhow, I don't think any borough can be said to be better than the rest. They are all unique in their own ways!

Manhattan will always be a center of shopping, wealth, rich cuisine, skyscrapers, clubs, etc.

Brooklyn in itself has always had a certain feeling like no other. There are no words to describe Brooklyn!

Queens is also a very unique place to me, because of the diversity. Name an ethnic group that doesn't claim a "neighborhood" in Queens! Very challenging... This is why I love Queens. This, to me, is the only borough where you can be in a certain neighborhood and feel like you aren't even in the US anymore.

The Bronx will always be special in my opinion because of the gritty, hilly, tenament filled neighborhoods. This is classic New York, and although I personally wouldn't choose to live in The Bronx, it is a very fascinating place.

However, and some may disagree, but in my own personal opinion, I think all 4 are greater than Staten Island!!! Not to say anything negative about Staten island, it just isn't for me.

...And, of course, someone logging in from Philadelphia would be qualified to say something like that!
